PARIS — Fisticuffs in the cockpit, leaving a leaking engine running while travelling over Africa — Air France pilots are under examination after current occurrences that have triggered French detectives to call for harder security procedures.
Two Air France pilots were suspended after physically combating in the cockpit on a Geneva-Paris flight in June, an Air France authorities stated Sunday. The flight continued and landed securely, and the conflict didn’t affect the rest of the flight, the authorities stated, worrying the airlinecompany’s dedication to security.
Switzerland’s La Tribune reported that the pilot and co-pilot had a disagreement soon after launch, and got each other by their collars after one obviously hit the other. Cabin team steppedin and one team member invested the flight in the cockpit with the pilots, the report stated.
