Stocks closed greater on Wall Street, marking the 3rd straight gain for the S&P500
The criteria hadn’t been able to string together more than 2 gains in a row because mid-September. The gains Tuesday came as the circulation of business profits reports stepped up. The S&P 500 climbedup 1.6%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average included 1.1% and the Nasdaq increased 2.3%. Small-company stocks did even muchbetter.
General Motors increased after providing strong results, while productpackaging maker Crown Holdings fell dramatically a
