NEW YORK — Stocks were combined in earlymorning trading on Wall Street Friday and are on track to close out a reasonably peaceful week with gains.

The S&P 500 increased 0.5% and is headed for a 4th straight week of gains. The index is approximately split inbetween gainers and losers, however gains for huge innovation business are assisting to keep it in the green.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 88 points, or 0.3%, to 33,925 as of 10: 07 a.m. Eastern. The tech-heavy Nasdaq increased 1%.

European markets were lower and Asian markets closed greater overnight.

Trading hasactually been listless throughout the week amidst a absence of any huge market moving reports or news. The standard S&P index still got enough ground by Thursday to close 20% above its October low, gettingin a brand-new bull market.
