Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, shot dead while opposing Israeli settlements, hasactually been laid to rest in her household’s home town Didim in western Turkey.

Thousands of mourners in Turkey haveactually collected for the funeralservice of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, who was eliminated by Israeli soldiers in the inhabited West Bank.
The killing last week of 26-year-old Eygi stimulated global condemnation versus Israel. She was shot in the head while taking part in a presentation on September 6 versus unlawful Israeli settlements.
On Saturday, household members, pals and advocates gathered in Eygi’s home town of Didim in western Turkey to bury her.
Eygi’s body, covered in the Turkish flag and brought by uniformed officers, gothere at its last resting location. A image of Eygi was put near the casket throughout the funeralservice at the regional mosque.
Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar, reporting from Didim, stated that for days, Eygi’s household haveactually been getting visitors from Turkey, the United States and other parts of the world, as they waitedfor the arrival of her stays.
“You can see the shock in their dealswith that Aysenur is no more,” Serdar stated, including that tight security procedures were in location with top federalgovernment authorities goingto her funerak.
Eygi’s casket was brought to the seaside Aegean town on Saturday following a martyrs’ event at Istanbul airport on Friday.
She was a regular visitor to Didim, and her household stated they desired her to be buried there, where her grandpa lives and her granny hasactually been laid to rest.
Eygi’s mom Rabia Birden on Friday advised Turkish authorities to pursue justice.
“The just thing I ask of our state is to lookfor justice for my child,” she was estimated as stating by Turkish state news firm Anadolu.
‘Deliberately targeted’
“Aysenur’s blood will not be in vain and we will hold responsible those who eliminated her in global courts,” stated Numan Kurtulmus, Turkey’s Parliament Speaker, in Didim on Saturday.
He stated the duty for the killing “lies with Israel and its advocates”.
Turkey stated this week it was examining her death and pushed the United Nations for an independent questions.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hasactually assured to guarantee “that Aysenur Ezgi’s death does not go unpunished”.
