The India Meteorological Department (IMD) cautioned of substantial rains in Kerala due to Cyclone Fengal. The southern state is forecasted to experience light to moderate rain throughout most areas, with separated locations mostlikely to get extremely heavy rains and thunderstorms.

The IMD stated heavy to extremely heavy rain is anticipated in the northern and main parts of the state. Intermittent light to moderate rain with periodic thunderstorms is anticipated to continue over the next 5 days.
