Devlin takes us inside her brand-new setup, which includes as part of The Vinyl Factory: Reverb at 180 Studios.
In Screenshare, a brand-new commission by The Vinyl Factory and 180 Studios, artist and phase designer Es Devlin putstogether a movietheater screen from leisures of her sketchbooks. Now revealing at The Vinyl Factory: Reverb exhibit at 180 Studios, Screenshare welcomes visitors to sit and watch a brief movie and then take a page of the screen away with them, an concept that Devlin goes into information on in the movie above.
“The sketches haveactually been made over the past 35 years: some are illustrations of London types, some illustrations of my kids, lots of procedure illustrations, traces of me attempting to work out concepts or share them with partners,” Devlin states of the procedure that went into developing Screenshare.
“The movie is an anthology drawn from setup works made over the past 16 years and the soundtrack is an extract from the Vinyl Factory record we made with Polyphonia last year, An Atlas of Es Devlin.
