Week 2 functions a match inbetween last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud and the preferred to win the award this year, No. 1 choice Caleb Williams.
Which young star will lift his group to a win?
Colin Cowherd shared his preferred chooses for Week 2, consistingof that face-off inbetween Stroud’s Texans and Williams’ Bears, and the big match on FOX inbetween the Saints and the Cowboys.
(All times ET)
49ers @ Vikings (+5)
1 p.m., CBS
Colin’s choose, rating forecast: Vikings +5 (49ers win, 26-23)
Colin’s ideas: “Niners are on a brief week. … Christian McCaffrey is still out. Sam Darnold is playing his old group. He’s dealtwith them in practice. I believe they [Vikings] put some pressure. … I believe this goes down to the last series, the last minutes of the videogame.”
Saints @ Cowboys (-6)
1 p.m., FOX and FOX Sports app
Colin’s choose, rating forecast: Cowboys -6 (Cowboys win, 30-20)
Colin’s ideas: “When Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy are preferred and playing an inferior group, they roll them. They’re really comfy as a preferred, playing downhill. The Saints were 1-5 versus playoff groups last year. The Saints get their wins off poor groups.”
Jets @ Titans (+3.5)
1 p.m., CBS
Colin’s choose, rating forecast: Jets -3.5 (Jets win, 24-10)
Colin’s ideas: “The Jets offense is gonna get muchbetter every week. … And I’m not sure Tennessee has an NFL quarterback. The Jets were embarrassed physically. They’ll play with their hair on fire. Their defense will be fine.”
Steelers @ Broncos (+2.5)
4: 25 p.m, CBS
Colin’s select, rating forecast: Broncos +2.5 (Broncos win, 23-20)
Colin’s ideas: “I think Sean Payton and his guys … they might not have excellent workers, however they held the Seahawks to 158 passing backyards and got 2 turnovers. I’ve stated all offseason: I believe Denver’s workers is muchbetter than you believe.”
Blazin’ 5: Vikings cover vs. 49ers, Jets beat Titans, Texans over Bears
Bears @ Texans (-6.5)
8: 20 p.m., NBC
Colin’s choose, rating forecast: Texans -6.5 (Texans win 27-17)
Colin’s ideas: “I think C.J. Stroud is amazing. The kid’s amazing. He’s deliberate with his running, he’s one of the more precise passers. Now they’ve provided him Joe Mixon … they’ve included Stefon Diggs. And by the method, the Bears offense is a mess. I believe Houston is gonna absolutely control time of ownership. I believe it’s a inequality, and I wear’t get the line.”
