Suns apparently strategy to hire Bucks’ Mike Budenholzer as next head coach

The Phoenix Suns have supposedly employed previous Milwaukee Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer to be their brand-new head coach on a five-year offer worth at least $50 million in overall worth, The Athletic reported Friday. This comes after Phoenix fired Frank Vogel on Thursday.

It was reported earlier on Friday that the 2 sides were getting traction on a offer.

The Suns dismissed Vogel after one season after the group was swept in the opening round of the NBA playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Bucks endedup last season 49-33 and were likewise swept in the veryfirst round of the playoffs by the Indiana Pacers.

Budenholzer, 54, veryfirst started his NBA profession as a video planner turned assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs, costs 19 seasons with the franchise before taking his veryfirst head-coaching gig with the Atlanta Hawks from 2013-18. 

The Arizona native headed to the Bucks in 2018, taking home an NBA champion in2021 He was called coach of the year twotimes, in 2015 and 2019.
