Former Auburn quarterback tj Finley will get one more shot at whipping Alabama this season.
Finley, who played quarterback at Auburn from 2021-22, moved to Western Kentucky throughout the offseason after costs the 2023 season at Texas State. Earlier this week, Hilltoppers head coach Tyson Helton called Finley the beginning quarterback for their season opener at Bryant-Denny Stadium with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer shared his preliminary evaluation of Finley after the statement.
“He’s got a ability set that you can use in a number of various methods,” DeBoer stated Monday. “And then, he’s a huge child of a weapon, so he’s a guy that can fall forward. And if he does, he’s going to go for 3 or 4 backyards simply getting downhill.”
