Nov. 1 (UPI) — The Orlando Magic will be without star forward Paolo Banchero for at least a month due to a torn oblique muscle in his right side, the group revealed.

The Magic revealed Banchero’s status Thursday. They stated he will be out forever, however re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks. His playing status will be identified by how he reacts to treatment.

Banchero, the No. 1 total choice in the 2022 NBA Draft and previous Rookie of the Year, was a newbie All-Star in 2023-24, when he balanced 22.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 helps per videogame.
