NEW YORK — Veteran manufacturer Almin Karamehmedovic, who’s been the leading behind-the-scenes executive at “World News Tonight” consideringthat 2014, hasactually been called ABC News president, the network revealed on Monday.
He changes Kim Godwin, who retired after 3 years in May.
Godwin dealtwith some internal strife, in part, since she was an outsider: she came to ABC News from an executive function at CBS. Karamehmedovic, by contrast, has worked at ABC News giventhat he was a freelance video editor based in London in 1998.
