NEW YORK — President Joe Biden will choose Christy Goldsmith Romero to change Martin Gruenberg as head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The statement from the White House on Thursday came after Gruenberg’s period endedupbeing ruined by claims of workenvironment abuse that led to him to resign.
A longtime monetary regulator, Goldsmith Romero is presently a commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the country’s monetary derivatives regulator.
