WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday stated it would hear an appeal from the National Rifle Association over remarks from a previous New York state authorities who advised banks and insurancecoverage business to terminate their association with weapon promoting groups after the lethal school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
The justices will hear arguments early next year in the NRA’s appeal, which declared that remarks by previous New York State Department of Financial Services superintendent Maria Vullo broke the group’s First Amendment rights.
