Fact was provided special gainaccessto to Block9’s lotsof phases throughout the weekend, where we shot efficiencies from artists throughout the electronic spectrum consistingof Roisin Murphy, Overmono, Honey Dijon, Shygirl, DJ Paulette and more, who played places such as the immersive 3D surround noise arena IICON and the NYC Downlow, a area motivated by New York’s early home music scene.

IICON was presented to Block9 in 2019 as a house for massive audiovisual efficiencies. Dominated by a huge, anonymised head, IICON is explained as a “pseudo-religious monolith to the frightening brand-new truths emerging in our digital, post-truth age.” IICON:AV-3D is a 15-minute narrative experience that takes location on each night of the celebration, in which the sculptural artwork is animated by cutting-edge video mapping.
