Aug. 9 (UPI) — A previous activist for Republican Party activities in Minnesota was sentenced to 21 years in jail Wednesday after he was foundedguilty of sex trafficking charges including underage ladies.
Anton “Tony” Lazzaro, 32, likewise was sentenced to 5 years of monitored release for managing the sex traffic conspiracy, which consistedof at one point selecting up a group of 14-year-old and 15-year-old ladies from a sleep celebration, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of Minnesota.
“Mr. Lazzaro targeted, controlled, and sexually madeuseof young and susceptible ladies for his own gain without regard for their age or security,” Alvin M. Winston Sr., the FBI unique agent-in-charge, stated in a declaration.
“Today’s sentencing sendsout a strong message that those who dedicate such abhorrent criminalactivities will be held liable. The FBI focuseson criminalactivities of victimization and will leave no stone unturned to safeguard the susceptible and bring every wrongdoer to justice.”
Authorities stated Lazzaro conspired with Gisela Castro Medina, a 21-year-old female he fulfilled on the “sugar daddy” site Seeking Arrangements in2020 Castro Medina has pleaded guilty for her function in the conspiracy and is arranged to be sentenced in September.
The Republican personnel welcomed Castro Medina and a small victim to his apartment at the Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis, authorities stated, including that Castro Medina informed Lazzaro that the small victim was just 16 years old priorto gettinghere.
