“We had anumberof occurrences of racial hate criminalactivities towards our program. Incredibly disturbing for all of us,” Roberts stated. “You think it’s stunning in our world – in sports and university – settings. There’s so much variety on a college school and you’re not exposed to that really typically. So when you are, you have individuals state, ‘Man, I can’t think that occurred.’ But bigotry is genuine and it occurs. And it’s dreadful.”

“For our gamers and personnel to not feel safe in an NCAA competition environment, it’s messed up,” she continued.

This tookplace duetothefactthat of a logistical concern that avoided Utah from staying in Spokane, Washington ahead of their videogames over the weekend. Instead, the group was moved a brief drive away to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where gamers and personnel members were bugged and skilled hate criminaloffenses.
