The Baltimore Orioles are capturing a lot of flack from baseball fans at big after the incorrect suspension of MASN pressreporter Kevin Brown. And now New York Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay has leapt into the fray as well.
On Monday, a report from Awful Announcing exposed that Brown — an Orioles play-by-play broadcaster for the regional broadcast MASN — was obviously suspended for pointing out Baltimore’s streak of roadway series losses to the Tampa Bay Rays. While the Orioles snapped the 15-series streak in late July, Brown was apparently suspended forever for the pregame remarks, even however they were part of the group’s videogame notes and were accompanying a graphic made by MASN itself.
The protest about Brown’s suspension hasactually gotten so loud that even veteran Yankees commentator Kay had his plumes ruffled over the event as well. On Monday’s episode of The Michael Kay Show, the commentator ripped into the Orioles for their “disgraceful” suspension of Brown.
