Cryptocurrency has become the playground of millions of tech-savvy millennials and Gen Z, groups that feel their future has been robbed from them by political and economic elites in Washington D.C. and Wall Street.

The MAGA movement is the clear driving force behind “Bitcoin 2025,” the world’s largest Bitcoin event, that recently took place in Las Vegas, Nev., as the nascent cryptocurrency sphere is mainstreamed nationwide due to the Trump administration’s forward-thinking policies. 


The keynote speaker for the conference was Vice President J.D. Vance, with other featured speakers including Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, a nationwide leader in crypto advocacy; David Sacks, President Trump’s A.I., and Crypto Czar; Congressman Byron Donalds, Trump’s choice for Florida’s next Governor; and Trump’s eldest sons Don Jr. and Eric.


Additional developments surrounding the event demonstrate Trump’s crypto supremacy. The leading cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, announced that it intends to be a “major sponsor” of America250, the group organizing President Trump’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Trump Media & Technology Group also announced a $2.5 billion investment in Bitcoin. 


At one point in time, most in the crypto sphere were very skeptical, if not hostile, toward politics. Bitcoin, the most prominent cryptocurrency by far, was created by its eponymous founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, to be a peer-to-peer digital currency immune to manipulation by financial authorities. The movement surrounding crypto is steeped in distrust of the political and corporate sectors, and for good reason, considering their record in recent decades.
