Want to go chasing waterfalls? A brand-new path in West Virginia is appealing to be the country’s initially with over 2 lots beautiful waterfalls. 

Hikers can see 29 hurrying waterfalls along the country’s initially statewide waterfall path in the youngest nationwide park, New River Gorge, according to the department’s declaration, although Blackwater and Sandstone are among the most popular.

“Breathtaking waterfalls are allover in our 1.5 million acres of parks and public lands, making this path a must-experience activity for adventure-seekers this summerseason,”  West Virginia Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby stated. “From simple boardwalks to uneven travels, we desire to make your efforts to experience our falls worth every mile.”

Just this year, West Virginia, which has has over 200 waterfalls gained nationwide attention as a leading tourist location by numerous significant travel, such as Lonely Planet, TIME, Frommers and and Condé Nast.

Encompassing over 70,000 acres of land, New River is “rich in cultural and natural history” as one of the earliest rivers on the continent, according to the National Park Service. Along the path, cascading falls differ; some tower above the valley flooring while others period huge rivers.
