(Photo: AFP) SAN FRANCISCO: Sweden swept China and Thailand held off South Korea to stay unbeaten at the Hanwha LifePlus International Crown on Friday in San Francisco, California. Fourth-seeded Sweden now leads Pool A at 4-0 through 2 days of round-robin play — locking up a berth in the semi-finals — and the top-seeded United States moved into 2nd at 3-1 after taking both points from England on Friday. Sweden and the United States will fight Saturday in the last day of the round-robin phase. In Pool B, sixth-seeded Thailand and seventh-seeded Australia (3-0-1) are ensured development to the semi-finals after Australia won one match and connected the other versus Japan on Friday. The International Crown is being played for the veryfirst time because 2018 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The leading 8 nations in ladies’s golf were figuredout by last year’s Rolex Rankings and each nation sentout 4 of its leading gamers to the special group occasion. The nations were seeded and split into 2 swimmingpools, with groups completing in 4 ball (best ball) in a single round-robin format from Thursday to Saturday.
