Report: Ime Udoka, Rockets considering James Borrego as lead assistant

New Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka is supposedly set to hire Brooklyn’s Royal Ivey in the near future, along with 3 assistants from his previous personnel in Boston.

Now, Alexander is reporting that an even larger name — James Borrego, previous head coach of the Charlotte Hornets — might be in play as Udoka efforts to fill his bench.

Borrego spokewith with Houston for the head training job in April priorto the Rockets chose on Udoka. Since then, Borrego has notsurprisingly passed on capacity assistant tasks to pursue other lead tasks. But with those being filled as the weeks development, he might shift his focus to a lower function.
