SEATTLE — The city of Seattle will pay $1.86 million to the household of a male who passedaway of a heart attack after a care note connected to his address postponed medics’ reaction.
William Yurek, 48, passedaway in his town home in 2021 after his kid called 911 and showingup Seattle Fire Department medics atfirst waited outside for law enforcement priorto gettingin, The Seattle Times reported.
The household declared Yurek was incorrectly consistedof on a blacklist of individuals understood to be hostile to authorities and fire teams. Yurek lived in the system a couple of years priorto his death and the previous occupant hadactually been on the obsoleted list, according to the suit submitted last year.
