BEIJING (Reuters) -Apple’s iPhone sales in China fell 24% year-on-year in the veryfirst 6 weeks of 2024, according to researchstudy company Counterpoint, as the U.S. business dealtwith increased competitors from domestic competitors such as Huawei.
The U.S. tech huge’s chief rival in China in premium smartdevices, Huawei, saw system sales increase by 64% in the duration, according to the report.
This might fan worries of a downturn in need for the U.S. business, whose earnings projection for the existing quarter was $6 billion listedbelow Wall Street expectations.
Shares of the iPhone maker closed 2.8% lower on Tuesday and have lost about 12% of their worth so far this year, underperforming their huge tech peers in the United States.
