The Dota 2 eSports scene in 2024 seems very interesting because there is yet another big tournament we will have the chance to follow. Elite League is an event that will feature 24 teams from every region around the world. With a prize pool of $960,000, this is one of the biggest tournaments we have seen in a while.
The Dota 2 Elite League is definitely an event worth watching, so let’s go over everything you need to know about it.
Elite League Dota 2 Format and Date

Starting with the dates, this will be an online tournament that will begin on March 31 and will end on April 15. Organized by FiSSURE and ESB, the league will be played on European servers.
In terms of the format, we have a lot to cover. Starting with the participants, 10 of them received a s lot from the closed qualifiers, whereas 6 of them received invitations. The other 8 also received an invitation, but they are placed in Group Stage 2.
Speaking of the devil, we will have two group stages. The first one begins on March 31 and will last until April 4. We will have one modified swiss-system of sixteen teams, where all matches are Bo3. In the end, the top 8 will advance to the second group stage, whereas the remaining teams will be eliminated.
When it is time for Group Stage 2, the matches here will be Bo2, and there will be two single round-robin groups of 8 teams. The top two from each group will go to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs, whereas the 3rd and 4th teams will advance to the Lower Bracket. The rest are out of the event.
Finally, we have the Playoffs, which will begin on April 13 and last until April 15. There will be a double-elimination bracket with Bo3 matches and a Bo5 Grand Final.
Elite League Prize Pool
When it comes down to the Dota 2 Elite League prize pool, the total amount is $960,000, which is really impressive. In fact, this will be one of the Dota 2 tournaments with the biggest prize pools in 2024. Here is its distribution:

- 2nd – $150,000
- 3rd – $80,000
- 4th – $50,000
- 5th-6th – $40,000
- 7th-8th – $30,000
- 9th-10th – $20,000
- 11th-12th – $20,000
