AT&T stated it hasactually started informing millions of consumers about the theft of individual information justrecently found online.
The telecom giant stated Saturday that a dataset discovered on the “dark web” includes info such as Social Security numbers for about 7.6 million present AT&T account holders and 65.4 million previous account holders.
The business stated it has currently reset the passcodes of present users and will be interacting with account holders whose delicate individual details was jeopardized.
It is not understood if the information “originated from AT&T or one of its suppliers,” the business stated in a declaration. The jeopardized information is from 2019 or earlier and does not appear to consistof monetary details or call history, it stated. In addition to passcodes and Social S
