The Australian info Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has a lot of characters it’s handling, and one of the most essential wasn’t even really in the movie’s marketing. That would be Melody, played by Gossip Girl’s Emily Alyn Lind, a 16-year-old who rapidly strikes up a relationship with McKenna Grace’s Phoebe Spengler. The twist? She’s a ghost required to stay on Earth upuntil she discovers a method to reunite with her household on the other side. Director Gil Kenan neverever clearly stated as such throughout their talks, and lines like “I get it. I’m like a hundred years old,” she simply presumed that equated to Melody being an old soul. As for why it was kept secret, she reasoned it came from her character being “a various kind of ghost” for the series.
