Showtime will formally shutter its standalone streaming service, the network revealed Thursday.
The banner, which veryfirst released 9 years ago, will be shut down at the end of April, almost a year after Showtime programs was incorporated into the Paramount+ premium strategy.
“Now that customers can gainaccessto their preferred Showtime programs on Paramount+ by subscribing to the Paramount+ with Showtime strategy, the Showtime streaming service will shut down on April 30, 2024,” a notification sentout to customers composed. “Current Showtime streaming customers will continue to have gainaccessto to the Showtime streaming service till it is shut down on April 30, 2024.”
