A unique court in Mumbai, handling cases by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has supposedly released a non-bailable warrant (NBW) versus fugitive entrepreneur Vijay Mallya.
According to the legal publication Bar and Bench, the warrant was provided in connection with a ₹180-crore loan default case including the previous owner of Kingfisher Airlines.
“After taking note that there were different other NBWs released versus Mallya and likewise thinkingabout his status as a ‘fugitive’, Special Judge SP Naik Nimbalkar believed that it was needed to concern an open-ended NBW versus Mallya to makesure his existence,” the report included.
