2024-25 NFL win totals, best bets: Projected Over/ Unders for every team, picks

5 minutes, 33 seconds Read

The NFL will kick off on Sept. 5 with a matchup between two AFC heavyweights in the Ravens and Chiefs.

And with that, bettors will be treated with yet another exciting market to place their wagers — NFL teams’ season win totals.

New England and Denver are on the lower end of the regular-season win-total spectrum at a projected 4.5 wins and 5.5 wins, respectively. Both teams are entering new eras in 2024; the Pats without head coach Bill Belichick and the Broncos without quarterback Russell Wilson.

At the opposite end are Kansas City and San Francisco — two teams with the highest projected totals at 11.5.

The Chiefs are coming off another Super Bowl win and are favorites to repeat at +550. The Niners go into next season as the NFC Champs and have the second-lowest odds to win the SB at +600.

Right behind that bunch are Baltimore, Dallas, Buffalo and Philadelphia at 10.5 wins — all teams that made the postseason in 2023.

Let’s dive into the odds and take a look at the entire list of each team’s projected win total by division, with odds via FanDuel Sportsbook.

odds as of 7/8/24

On Monday’s edition of “The Herd,” guest host Danny Parkins broke down his six best NFL win total bets for the 2024-2025 season.

Let’s jump into the fun!

PICK: Kansas City Chiefs Over 11.5 (-118)

“The Chiefs have gone over their win total every single season that Andy Reid has been there. They dominate their own division. They have every motivation for the elusive three peat.”

PICK: Dallas Cowboys Over 10.5 (+164)

“They’ve won 12 games in three straight years. The team did not get better, but I think Philly is going to get worse and their division is still bad. They led the league in points last year. They are a good regular-season team. The problem is the playoffs.”

PICK: Atlanta Falcons Over 9.5 (-148)

“This team reminds me of last year’s Detroit Lions. … The NFC South has not caught up with Atlanta. They upgraded at quarterback, they upgraded at head coach, and they upgraded at play-caller. … Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London, they are going to get the ball more. I think they are dominant in the NFC South.”

PICK: Philadelphia Eagles Under 10.5 (+110)

This is their second consecutive season of losing both coordinators. Something is just wrong in Philly. They lost a lot of veteran leadership and experience and the finish to last season was an absolute disaster. We haven’t seen Jalen Hurts with less than ideal players on offense.”

PICK: Pittsburgh Steelers Under 8.5 (-150)

“Everyone knows Mike Tomlin has never had a losing record. It’s going to change this year. I don’t think the quarterback for 2025 is on Pittsburgh right now. Russell Wilson was way too conservative at the end of his time in Denver. Justin Fields doesn’t get to the second and third progression. … They are going to be moving pieces around which will cause dysfunction.”

PICK: New England Patriots Under 4.5 (+122)

“New England, I think, is a one-to-two, maybe three-win team. How are they going to score? They were the worst offense in the NFL last year. They have a new head coach. They shouldn’t play Drake Maye because they don’t have anyone to protect him and don’t have skill position talent around him. It’s going to be a really tough year to score the ball.”
