Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw is set to make his veryfirst start of the season for the Los Angeles on Thursday.
Manager Dave Roberts stated Saturday night after a 7-6, 11-inning triumph over Boston that Kershaw would take the mound for the series ending versus San Francisco.
The 36-year-old Kershaw, a three-time NL Cy Young Award winner, had surgicaltreatment on his left shoulder in November. He signed a 1year agreement, with an alternative for 2025.
In a rehab start Friday night for Triple-A Oklahoma City, Kershaw went 4 innings. He enabled 3 runs on 6 strikes with 2 strikeouts and no strolls.
He tossed 3 innings in a rehabilitation start for Class A Rancho Cucamonga on June 19, however was shut down for a week after experiencing stickingaround pain.
The Dodgers likewise will get back Tyler Glasnow for the series versus San Francisco. The right-hander is arranged to start Wednesday after missingouton the past couple weeks due to back tightness.
