WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A Chinese hacking group madeuseof a softwareapplication bug to compromise anumberof web business in the U.S. and abroad, a cybersecurity company stated on Tuesday.
Researchers at the firm, Lumen Technologies, stated in a blogsite post that the hackers took benefit of a formerly unidentified vulnerability in Versa Director – a softwareapplication platform utilized to handle services for consumers of Santa Clara, California-based Versa Networks.
