ALGIERS, Algeria — Algeria’s constitutional court on Saturday licensed the landslide success of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in last weekend’s election after retabulating vote counts that he and his 2 challengers had called into concern.

The court stated that it hadactually evaluated regional ballot information to settle concerns about abnormalities that Tebboune’s challengers had declared in 2 appeals on Monday.

“After confirmation of the minutes of the areas and correction of the mistakes keptinmind in the counting of the votes,” it had reduced Tebboune’s vote share and identified that his 2 challengers had won hundreds of thousands more votes than formerly reported, stated Omar Belhadj, the constitutional court’s president.
