At least 8 dead as Storm Boris continues to pound Central, Eastern Europe

The death toll in Central and Eastern Europe hasactually increased as Storm Boris continued to maul the area, triggering enormous floods.

One individual drowned in southwestern Poland on Sunday, a firemen taking part in rescue efforts was eliminated in Austria and 2 more individuals were eliminated in Romania as strong winds and heavy rains were projection to continue for a 4th day on Monday. Floods eliminated 4 individuals in Romania on Saturday.

Thousands of individuals were left on Sunday from their homes in the Czech Republic following days of torrential rain that triggered rivers to burst their banks in numerous parts of the area.

A low-pressure system called Boris has activated downpours from Austria to Romania, leading to some of the worst flooding in almost 3 years in hard-hit locations in the Czech Republic and Poland.

More rain and strong winds are anticipate upuntil at least Monday, though the rain reduced on Sunday in Romania, which bore the impact of flooding a day earlier.
