SAVANNAH, Ga. — Hyundai hasactually started producing electrical SUVs in Georgia less than 2 years after breaking ground on its stretching, $7.6 billion production plant west of Savannah.

Hyundai’s factory in Georgia held an “employee-focused event” Thursday as its veryfirst EV for industrial sale rolled off the assembly line, Bianca Johnson, representative for Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, stated in a declaration supplied Monday to The Associated Press.

“After verifying its production procedures to makesure its automobiles fulfill Hyundai Motor Group’s high quality requirements, HMGMA has began preliminary production of consumer cars ahead of schedule,” Johnson stated.

She stated a grand opening event at the Georgia plant is anticipated in the veryfirst quarter of 2025.
