Disney World and other Orlando parks to resume Friday after Hurricane Milton shutdown

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida style parks consistingof Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld prepared to resume Friday after an evaluation of the impacts of Hurricane Milton.

Some Halloween unique occasions won’t be used and they won’t always be totally working Friday, however the public is welcome back, the parks stated in declarations.

As Milton came ashore as a significant storm Wednesday, all 3 Orlando-based parks shut down, putting a damper on the trips of 10s of thousands of travelers, lotsof of whom hunkered down in hotels. Disney World, Universal and SeaWorld were all closed for at least part of Wednesday and all of Thursday.

Orlando International Airport, Florida’s busiest, prepared to resume domestic arrivals on Thursday and departures Friday after primarily shutting down Wednesday.

The airport’s closure avoided Simon Forster, his otherhalf and their 2 kids from returning to Scotland, so they takenpleasurein an additional 2 days of their two-week holiday on the dynamic International Drive in Orlando’s tourist district on Thursday. Hurricanes appear to follow them consideringthat 2 years ago Hurricane Ian kept them from returning to Scotland after another Orlando trip.

“Last night, it was rather extreme, Forster stated. “I was enjoying the palm trees sway back and forth outside my hotel space. How they didn’t come down, I puton’t understand. Scary things.”
