Milwaukee coach Doc Rivers slammed referees for calling a nasty on Giannis Antetokounmpo versus LaMelo Ball with 7.3 seconds left in the Bucks’ 115-114 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.

With the Hornets routing by one, Ball drove the right side of the lane and appeared to slip and fall. Replays didn’t appear to program any contact, however Antetokounmpo was whistled for the nasty. Ball made both complimentary tosses to provide Charlotte the lead.

Antetokounmpo’s jumper at the buzzer rimmed out and the Hornets gotaway with the win.

“I idea the last play was the ref blowing a call,” Rivers stated. “This is back-to-back videogames now where on the last play there hasactually been an inaccurate call made.”

The next day, the NBA revealed that Rivers hadactually been fined $25,000 for slamming the officiating.

A comparable circumstance happened earlier this week versus the Detroit Pistons when Antetokounmpo was whistled for a phantom call with 1 2nd left in policy and the rating connected at 111.

But in that videogame, Pistons forward Ron Holland II missedouton 2 complimentary tosses and the videogame went into overtime and the Bucks dominated 127-120 behind 59 points from Antetokounmpo.

“LaMelo Ball fell,” Rivers stated. “He simply fell down. Nobody was near him. He slipped on his own. We come up with the ball and the videogame is over. So back-to-back videogames now we have had a call made versus us that is inaccurate. We were fortunate in Detroit the kid missedouton 2 complimentary tosses. Tonight LaMelo Ball made the complimentary tosses.”

The Bucks did not have a obstacle . If they had, the call would haveactually been reversed on replay, team chief Curtis Blair stated later.

“During live play we called unlawful leg-to-leg contact,” Blair stated. “During postgame evaluation when we looked at the play there was no unlawful contact on the play.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
