San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey’s season may be over.
The star running back will be positioned on hurt reserve after suffering a PCL injury in his left knee, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan informed pressreporters on Monday. With the hurt reserve positioning, McCaffrey will missouton at least 4 videogames, though Shanahan stated the injury would take 6 weeks of healing. San Francisco just has 5 regular-season videogames staying on its schedule.
McCaffrey suffered the injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s 35-10 loss versus the Buffalo Bills. He stepped awkwardly on a sweep to the left on a snow-slicked field.
