Probiotics are commonly found in fermented foods such as yoghurt with live cultures, kefir, sauerkraut, natto, kimchi, kvass, miso, tempeh, and kombucha. For example, Lactobacillus is a genus that includes various species such as Lactobacillus acidophilus or Lactobacillus casei. An example of a strain within the Lactobacillus acidophilus species is Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM.
