As we get closer to the 2025 NBA trade deadline, there are several intriguing names who could potentially switch teams this season.
While the trade deadline is not until Feb. 6, the unofficial start of trade season began earlier this month on Dec. 15. Many players who signed during free agency are now eligible to hear their names included in a potential trade, and we saw our first notable trade of the season when the Nets sent Dennis Schroder to the Golden State Warriors.
Using the latest rumors around the league, we compiled a list of some of the other most interesting names who may be on the move. We sorted the list based on who has played the best so far this season.

TEAM: Chicago Bulls
The Bulls have decided to “aggressively shop” big man Nikola Vucevic, per the Chicago Sun-Times. The front office reportedly wants a first-round pick in return for the center, via The Stein Line, though his value is perhaps currently closer to two second-round picks. According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, rivals are not expected to have “much interest” in pursuing a deal.

TEAM: Washington Wizards
The Wizards are “likely to seek trades” for veteran big man Jonas Valanciunas, who is “definitely available” in a deal. The Lakers are a potential suitor, especially considering LeBron James was willing to take less money on his free agency deal if Los Angeles signed the big man before he agreed to terms with the Wizards.
