A pilot hasactually been arraigned for presumably threatening to shoot the airplane’s captain if the captain diverted the flight duetothefactthat of a traveler who required medical attention.
A grand jury in Utah provided the indictment versus Jonathan J. Dunn on Oct. 18 over an occurrence that occurred in August 2022, charging him with disturbance with a flight team, according to federal court records.
The Transportation Department’s inspector basic’s workplace stated in an e-mail sentout Tuesday that Dunn was the veryfirst officer, or co-pilot, on the flight and was licensed to bring a weapon under a program run by the Transportation Security Administration.
“After a dispute about a possible flight diversion due to a guest medical occasion, Dunn informed the Captain they would be shot several times if the Captain diverted the flight,” the inspector basic’s workplace stated.
