BERLIN — German authorities on Wednesday broke off their search for 4 team members missingouton consideringthat their British-flagged freight ship sank a day earlier following a crash with a bigger vessel in the North Sea. A senior main stated there was no longer any hope for them.

The Verity, which had 7 individuals on board and was en path from Bremen, Germany, to the English port of Immingham, sank quickly after the accident a little before 5 a.m. Tuesday. Two sailors were saved and the body of another was recuperated.
