Petition over ex-premier’s impact triggering ‘social discontent’ PUBLISHED : 20 Oct 2024 at 06: 28 Former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra Key union celebrations haveactually minimized the Election Commission’s (EC) examination into previous premier Thaksin Shinawatra’s declared illegal impact over the federalgovernment and criticised the petitioners for triggering social discontent. Government politicalleaders criticised the petitions accepted by the EC for examination. The petitions claim that Thaksin, as an outsider, putin illegal impact over and controlled the judgment Pheu Thai Party and 5 other celebrations in the previous union. The other celebrations are the Bhumjaithai Party, United Thai Nation Party, Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), Chartthaipattana Party, and Prachachart Party.
