CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Service employees at Charlotte Douglas International Airport filled out paper tallies on a hectic Friday before Thanksgiving to choose whether to go on a 24-hour strike throughout the vacations.
The vote is being taken by staffmembers of ABM and Prospect Airport Services, which supply services like cleansing interiors of the aircrafts, eliminating garbage and accompanying guests in wheelchairs.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport stated in a news release they were anticipating roughly 1.02 million guests leaving inbetween the Thursday and Monday before the vacation. The specific date of the proposed strike has not been revealed.
Dorothy Griffin hasactually been working for ABM for 7 years and stated she offers devices for individuals to tidy the cabins of aircrafts inbetween flights.
“We’re ballot on our strike since we’re not dealtwith relatively, we’re not paid relatively,” stated Griffin. “We’re not appreciated in our tasks. We simply desire greater and more salaries and a little regard.”
