CVS employees strike at 7 Southern California shops for muchbetter pay and health care

LOS ANGELES — Workers at 7 CVS drugstores in Southern California haveactually gone on strike for muchbetter pay and health care and to demonstration what they state is bad-faith agreement bargaining by the business.

The walkout, which impacted 4 shops in Los Angeles and 3 in Orange County, started Friday earlymorning and continued into the weekend. On Saturday outdoors one of the LA shops, strikers advised consumers not to cross the picket lines.

Melissa Acosta, a drugstore specialist who is on the agreement bargaining committee, implicated the business of “intimidating employees, observing them, getting in the method of them speaking to union agents.”
