Mr Chula made the remarks on Wednesday at a onlineforum throughout the Bangkok Post Tech Conference 2023 called “Thailand’s Innovation Redefined: New S-Curve, AI, and Virtual Banking” at Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The EEC covers parts of Chon Buri, Rayong and Chachoengsao provinces and hasactually targeted 12 S-curve markets consistingof electrical automobiles and wise electronicdevices. Mr Chula stated the EEC is now gettingin its 2nd stage and the workplace has ready rewards to drawin more foreign financiers. He explained the EEC as the “second chapter” of the Eastern Seaboard, discussing the federalgovernment had attempted to enhance on that when it set up the EEC around 6 years earlier. The 12 targeted markets are EVs; wise electronicdevices; upscale, medical and health tourist; farming and biotechnology; food; robotics for market; logistics and airtravel; biofuels and biochemicals; digital; medical services; defence; and education. The EEC has currently passed Phase 1 of its financialinvestment strategy and surpassed its target of costs UnitedStates$50 billion to enhance standard facilities and increase financialinvestment, such as finishing Phase 3 of Laem Chabang Port and Phase 3 of Map Ta Phut Industrial Port.
