TORONTO — Workers at Canada’s nationwide postal service are on strike after stoppingworking to reach a workedout contract with Canada Post.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers stated early Friday roughly 55,000 employees are striking, declaring little development hasactually been made in the bargaining procedure. The work interruption will interrupt mail service ahead of the hectic vacation season.
