WASHINGTON — Federal authorities stated Monday they are examining a current close call inbetween an Allegiant Air airplane and a personal jet in which pilots of both airplane got collision-threat cautions and took incrediblyelusive action.
The Federal Aviation Administration stated the event tookplace July 23 near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. It’s the newest in a series of close calls that led the FAA to assemble a unique security top earlier this year.
The FAA stated an air traffic controller in Miami informed the team of Allegiant flight 485 that hadactually taken off from Fort Lauderdale to turn east at 23,000 feet, and it crossed in front of a Gulfstream organization jet that was heading north.
