MEXICO CITY — The federalgovernment of the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe bought a curfew on Saturday, a day after a strike by employees left 370,000 individuals in darkness for almost 24 hours.
The curfew will last from 10 p.m. Saturday upuntil 5 a.m. Sunday and “aims to guarantee the security of all, the defense of home and public harmony,” the federalgovernment stated in a declaration.
