Israel devoting war criminaloffenses in Gaza, states previous army chief Moshe Yaalon

Former Israeli army chief and defence minister states northern Gaza is being ‘cleared of Arabs’, echoing ICC claims.

Former Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon hasactually implicated Israel of dedicating war criminalactivities and ethnic cleaning in the Gaza Strip, echoing the accusations by the International Criminal Court versus Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his previous defence minister, Yoav Gallant.

Yaalon, a previous army chief of personnel, informed Israeli media that hardliners in Netanyahu’s reactionary cabinet were looking to chase Palestinians from northern Gaza and desired to re-establish Jewish settlements there.

“I am obliged to alert about what is occurring there and is being hidden from us,” Yaalon informed public broadcaster Kan on Sunday.

“At the end of the day, war criminaloffenses are being devoted.”

In an interview with the personal DemocratTV channel, Yaalon stated, “The roadway we are being led down is conquest, addition and ethnic cleaning.”

Pressed on the “ethnic cleaning” appraisal, he stated: “What is takingplace there? There is no more Beit Lahiya, no more Beit Hanoon, the army stepsin in Jabalia and in truth, the land is being cleared of Arabs.”

Yaalon served as defence minister under Netanyahu from 2013 to 2016 and hasactually been a strong critic of the prime minister ever giventhat.

Netanyahu’s Likud celebration implicated him of dispersing “slanderous lies”, while Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, head of a little rightist celebration, stated his allegations were unwarranted.

The ICC last month released arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant for declared war criminalactivities and criminaloffenses versus humankind in the Gaza dispute.

Palestinians have long implicated Israel of bring out ethnic cleaning in Gaza throughout the continuous dispute.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Palestinian-American historian Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said teacher emeritus of contemporary Arab researchstudies at Columbia University, stated the “genocide” occurring in Gaza because October 2023 is “worse than any stage of Palestinian history”.
