Bangkok’s Yaowarat Road hasactually been changed into a dynamic homeentertainment location for Chinese New Year events this month, with lighting setups and ingenious cultural efficiencies to lift the spirits of the surrounding areas. It’s a cooperation inbetween the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chinese embassy, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Bangkok Chinatown Business Club to promote tourist and Chinese-Thai culture. Under the “Celebrating The Golden Year” style, the Chalermphrakiat Gate, Odeon Circle, is cut with Chinatown Chinese New Year 2024 lanterns and the Tunnel of Golden Dragon is created to be a picturesque background for visitors to take selfies. From Feb 10-11, visitors can take a ring-side seat for Chinese cultural efficiencies from Quanzhou and Zhejiang, while the Dragon King forecast mapping program will light up Krungsri Bank’s walls to recount the story of Yaowarat’s Chinese-Thai neighborhood. Following that, visitors can take a strolling trip to 5 widelyknown Chinese shrines where they can praise gods for success and great fortune in the upcoming year.
